News from the Ugu
Margie and I were in Washington, DC for a week in May. I saw a number of congressmen, different members of staff and took lobbyists out to lunch and dinner. All know who we are, I passed out business cards, but they cannot do much unless we get a large group to pass a bill. The lobbyists, many know me personally, would like to help, but they work for money like the rest of us. People it does take money to do any business in Washington, DC. That’s where most of our money goes, and when we come to town, they want us to spend more of our own money. Ostalanvlvi ( we, brothers and sisters) must keep our tribe together for the benefit of our future descendants. I’ll keep trying. Everyone write to Governor, Rick Perry, Capitol Station, Austin, Texas, and request that he recognize us.
From the Desk of Fox Dreamer We are starting to build the Northwestern Town. Soon we will have a council of seven and they will be meeting once a month to plan committees and gatherings. If you are interested in being on the council please contact me so we can meet and go over the expectations of the position. This is a non profit organization so everything will come to pass as we can afford to do it. Newsletters will come out quarterly. If you have an email address and prefer to be in touch with us that way, please contact me, and we will add you to our online mailing list. In the coming years I would like to meet with as many of you as possible. If we can afford to, as a group, I would like to have a small gathering. Maybe a potluck at a park in a centralized place would be a good idea. Let me know what you think. Frank Perkins
